PLEASE READ THESE TERMS OF USE CAREFULLY BEFORE USING THIS MOBILE APPLICATION

1.     Terms of Use

By using this application (the “Application”), you are agreeing to these terms of use. If you (the “user”) do not agree to all of these terms of use, do not use this application. The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) may revise and update these terms without notice at any time. Your continued use of this Application means that you accept those changes. You are not permitted to change these terms of use.

CAMH is located in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. The laws of the province of Ontario shall govern this agreement.

2.       Purpose and Use

The Application is for use as a wayfinding tool which allows you to map out a route to CAMH from an external location and also to different buildings and locations within the Queen Street Campus

In order to use the Application, a user may choose one of the following:

  • Allow the Application to access Location Services on your device (note – this may result in data usage); or
  • Use the Application without location services based on pre-set starting points where the user will need to enter the starting location and the end location on site at CAMH (note – this may result in data usage).

3.       Collection of Data

CAMH does not collect any personal information or other data about you through the use of this Application.

If you choose to enable location-based services, the Application will allow us to help you find the location you are looking for with more accuracy but we do not track your movements. Please note that location-based services requires the use of the navigation app that you have enabled on your device. These apps may track your movements at CAMH while using the <<CAMH Wayfinding App>>. If you do not wish to have the navigation app track your movements at CAMH, then please disable the location-based services. You can withdraw consent for location-based series at any time by changing your device’s permissions for this Application. For Android devices, open your Settings App and choose Location > App permission or Security & location > Location. For iOS devices, choose Settings > Privacy > Location Services. For more information or help, please refer to your device’s operating system user guide.

The Application does collect anonymous information from users related to map requests, which are used for aggregate analysis, including general information about the number of people requesting a particular feature of the map, the patters of usage of map features etc. but does not enable us to determinate to actions of any single user.

Analytics

The App Store (Apple App Store/ Google Play Store) that you accessed to download this Application collects certain anonymous information that is shared with CAMH. The data is collected for the purposes of understanding how the Application is used and is always aggregate anonymous data with no specific user information. The type of information collected relates to the number of times the Application was viewed (in the App Store), installed and/or uninstalled by users, as well as any ratings from users provided through the App Stores.   

4.       Third-Party Sites

This Application may push you to third-party applications/websites (such as Google Maps; Apple Map or Waze). You will be asked to accept the use of any third-party websites/application.   These links are offered as a convenience to you. CAMH does not endorse, and we are not responsible for, any content, advertising, products, services or other materials on or available from such third-party applications/websites. You assume full responsibility for your use of third-party applications/websites. These Terms of Use do not apply to those third-party applications/websites. You should review the terms and privacy policies of those third parties before using their websites.

Although this Application does not provide any third parties with access to any information that the user enters into the Application, if you enter any personal information with third parties you do so solely at your own risk.

5.         Disclaimers

CAMH makes no representations as to any matter whatsoever, including accuracy, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement.

6.       Limitation of Liability

This Application and the content provided are on an "as is" basis. CAMH assumes no liability for or relating to the delay, failure, interruption or corruption of any information in or stored on this Application.

CAMH has no obligation to furnish any maintenance and support services with respect to this Application.

CAMH is not liable to you or anyone else for any decision made or action taken based on reliance upon the information contained in or provided through this Application. The use of the Application is at your own risk. The sole and exclusive remedy for dissatisfaction with this Application is to stop using this Application.

The Application is provided "as is" with no representations or warranties of any kind, express, statutory or implied, as to the operation of the Application, or the information, content, materials, or products included on the Application. To the fullest extent permissible by applicable law, CAMH and its officers, directors, employees, physicians and contractors disclaim all warranties, express, statutory, or implied, including, but not limited to, implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose or non-infringement.
