Donations must be received at the Foundation office before the end of the year. If you are concerned that your donation will not arrive in time, please consider making a donation online or by phone.

You may call the Foundation office until 1pm on Friday, December 29, 2022 to make your donation.

Your online donation must be received by 11:59:59 EST on Sunday, December 31, 2023 to qualify for a 2023 tax receipt.
Transfer of Securities
Stock transfers must be received in the Foundation's brokerage account by Friday, December 29, 2023. To allow time for processing and the bank transfer, we suggest you email the transfer details, available in our Transfer of Securities Form, to us no later than Friday, December 23, 2022.
Wire Transfers
Transfers must be received in the Foundation's bank account by Saturday, December 31, 2022. Please initiate your transfer a few business days before (and reach out to your CAMH contact or foundation@camh.ca to let us know your gift is on the way.)

Change Agents provide consistent and reliable funds toward the most urgent needs of the hospital–helping improve the quality of care provided at CAMH, and to develop the next generation of treatments. CAMH Foundation representatives are looking for people to join our Change Agents community of monthly donors. All canvassers are equipped with tablets, and will be wearing CAMH lanyards and ID badges. Please note for security reasons, they cannot accept cash donations.
No, CAMH Foundation canvassers are paid hourly, and do not receive commissions. For this program we have partnered with Public Outreach and GlobalFaces, highly reputable fundraising organizations that adhere to all industry codes of practice. Door-to-door fundraising is focused on acquiring long-term donors to support the highest priorities of CAMH. You can donate online or mail in your one-time donation any time. We value every donation we receive.
You will receive an accumulative tax receipt for the year in February of the following year i.e. all gifts made in 2022 will be included in the receipt sent in February 2023. Your receipt will be emailed if you have provided an address. If not, you will receive your tax receipt by regular mail.
We would be very sorry to lose you as it is Change Agent! Please know that you can always change your giving amount or put your gifts on hold to make supporting CAMH more manageable.

Please note that it can take up to 15 days for changes to come into effect so, your next donation may be processed against your original account. Please provide all relevant information in your request (full name, mailing address, phone number and gift amount) to help us identify your record in our database.

You (the Payer) make arrangements for PAD (also known as Direct Debit) payments from your bank account with the biller (CAMH Foundation). This agreement can be made through a digital form on a tablet a canvasser is carrying, through our web site, or over the telephone. In order to set up or change your PAD payment, we will require the following information: transit (branch) number, institution number and account number. The agreement specifies the amount, timing, frequency or event that will result in a PAD, as well as the account from which the funds are to be withdrawn.

Under the provisions of Payments Canada’s Rule H1, if a PAD is returned due to insufficient funds, CAMH Foundation may re-attempt to process the payment once, and this must be done within 30 days of the original transaction date for the same amount as the original transaction. CAMH Foundation cannot charge service fees.
Payments Canada’s mandate does not extend to service fees that may be charged by financial institutions, so this is not addressed in Rule H1. You will need to discuss the matter with your financial institution. In accordance with CRA regulations, under no circumstance can CAMH reimburse you for NSF fees charged by your financial institution.

We do mail and email supporters who have missed a payment or whose payment information is expiring. Please do not send your payment details to us by email. If you have any concerns about mail that you receive from CAMH Foundation, please contact us at 1 800 414-0471 during office hours or by email at ChangeAgents@camh.ca.
There is no automatic end date to a monthly gift.
Please notify us by calling 1 800 414-0471 if any withdrawal from your account is not in accordance with the terms of your agreement, or processed after you have cancelled the agreement.
