What is the purpose of the study?
The purpose of this study is to explore the effects of two brain stimulation protocols: the compressed intermittent theta-burst stimulation (iTBS) protocol, commonly used to treat depression, and a spaced iTBS protocol. We want to see which one is better able to produce changes to brain plasticity. If we are better able to modify brain plasticity using this improved iTBS protocol, it could lead to improved efficacy of iTBS to treat depression.
