This study hopes to test the use of repetitive transcranial magnetic stimulation (rTMS), a new, noninvasive form of brain stimulation treatment, in reducing cannabis craving and consumption. By participating, you would help us develop an effective treatment for those struggling with excessive cannabis use. You will be provided compensation during the study.
What will happen during this study?
- 4 weeks of rTMS, 20 sessions in total
- Counselling sessions to manage potential withdrawal symptoms and craving
- Cognitive and brain imaging assessments
- Clinical and substance use assessments
- This study will take place in-person at CAMH.
We are looking for individuals that are:
- Between the ages of 18-65
- Are regular cannabis users
- Are interested in reducing or quitting their cannabis use
You cannot enroll in this study if you are also struggling with other substances, with the exception of nicotine and caffeine.
