What is the purpose of the study?
We are conducting a PET (positron emission tomography) imaging study to help us understand opioid addiction. The goal of this study is to take pictures of a brain molecule named fatty acid amide hydrolase (FAAH). Knowing more about this enzyme molecule can help us assess risks and understand more about how opioid addiction is developed.
- Individuals with: opioid use disorder, chronic pain, taking prescription opioids, (codeine, hydrocodone, oxycodone, morphine, etc.)
Age range: 18 -80
Gender: All
