CAMH is committed to providing a great patient experience to those seeking support from our skilled staff and physicians in our recovery-focused services. Furthering patient and family engagement is one of the key priorities in CAMH’s new Strategic Plan, One CAMH. We know that there are a number of benefits of robust patient and family engagement, which include high-quality, safe and more efficient health care, as well as improved patient outcomes, and higher patient, family, staff and physician satisfaction.
To support this work, CAMH has developed and implemented a Patient and Family Engagement Roadmap, which is based on the principles of Patient- and Family-Centered Care (PFCC). The Roadmap outlines specific steps and annual deliverables that guide us toward a future where patients and families are included in all aspects of our organizational, clinical, research and education initiatives—helping us to achieve the highest quality care.
