The ID Clinic is a free service that helps CAMH patients obtain identification such as:
Health Cards: The staff at the clinic can issue a special letter for patients to take to a Service Ontario office, where they will receive a temporary document with their health card number. Once their health card is processed and ready to be issued, it can be picked up at the ID Clinic onsite.
Citizenship and Immigration: Individuals born in Canada can obtain a birth certificate through the clinic and those born outside of Canada can get a Verification of Status (formerly called Record of Landing). After receiving those documents, patients can apply at a Service Canada office for a citizenship card or a permanent resident card.
This service is not a CAMH service. It is hosted at CAMH through an external organization: Neighbourhood Link.
Even in difficult times, we see so much kindness and generosity in the CAMH community! Listen to a shared moment of gratitude as we reflect on what donors have helped make possible over the last year.
