Do you want to contribute to science and get a free picture of your brain? CAMH is looking for mentally healthy volunteers to participate in a brain imaging study. Our research team is interested in understanding which parts of the brain are involved in health awareness. Information from our study may lead to new strategies to manage certain mental and physical health conditions.
We are looking for healthy individuals who are at least 18 years of age with no recent history of mental illness (in the past 3 months). Participants will complete questionnaires and a brief, non-invasive brain scan using magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) to study which brain areas are active when people think about their health.
The study involves 2 visits. The total time commitment is about 6-7 hours. You will be financially compensated for your time.
- Visit 1: Screening/eligibility (approximately 3 hours)
- Visit 2: MRI and questionnaires (approximately 3-4 hours)
