Research into alcohol use has indicated that a person’s awareness of their body sensations may have affect their drinking patterns. The purpose of our study is to measure the effects of body perception on alcohol craving, alcohol consumption and thinking ability. This research will further our understanding of why some individuals experience more intense cravings and/or consume larger amounts of alcohol.
You may be eligible to participate if you:
- Are between the ages of 19-30
- Drink socially and regularly (a few drinks a week)
- Are NOT seeking treatment for alcohol use disorder
Participants of this study will be asked to come in for one study session that will last an entire day (9 am to 6 pm). The session will include completing questionnaires and computerized tasks. Participants will be compensated for their time.
