What is the purpose of the study?
PAS-MCI is a study looking at brain plasticity in people with mild cognitive impairment (MCI). Plasticity is the ability for your brain cells to strengthen and make new connections. Without plasticity, we would not be able to form memories. We want to see if noninvasive brain stimulation can enhance plasticity, as well as brain functioning, in people with MCI. If successful, this may help prevent progression to dementia.
