What is the purpose of the study?
Researchers at CAMH are conducting a PET (positron emission tomography) imaging study to help us better understand how the brain is affected by long-term alcohol use. We hope to take pictures of the brain during abstinence from alcohol before and after cognitive behavioral therapy.
