CAMH researchers are conducting a study to evaluate the effect of a virtual Mantram repetition program to treat PTSD and substance use disorder symptoms. We are seeking participants who experience PTSD and have been diagnosed with a substance use disorder. This research will further our understanding of the effectiveness of Mantram repetition and may inform future treatment options for individuals with PTSD and concurrent substance use disorder.
You may be eligible to participate if you:
- Are 18 years +
- Diagnosed with PTSD AND substance use disorder
- Are NOT currently participating in other therapies (mindfulness, yoga, biofeedback, self-hypnosis or tai chi)
Participants will be asked to virtually attend group therapy sessions and complete weekly self-assessments. Availability to attend weekday appointments is required. The total duration of participation is 8 weeks. Participants will be compensated for their time.
