What is the purpose of the study?
This study aims to uncover brain activity patterns while people with & without body dysmorphic disorder (BDD) view faces in different conditions. Abnormal brain processing may contribute to distorted self-perception in BDD, but not well understood. Results will shed light on brain activity, behaviour & emotion's role in abnormal visual perception & how it's affected by viewing methods. This will pave the way for future studies to enhance BDD treatment.
