- NAVIGATE - NAVIGATE is a standardized, evidence-based treatment program that focuses on recovery for youth and emerging adults with a first episode of psychosis. Dr. George Foussias, Chief of the Schizophrenia Division, and Director of the Slaight Family Centre for Youth in Transition at CAMH, walks through the different components of NAVIGATE and the health care professionals available to youth and their families in the program.

- Empowering Families Affected by Psychosis Course: Having a family member who experiences psychosis can be frightening and overwhelming. You play a key role in supporting your relative and in promoting their wellness and recovery. However, this role may take a toll on you as well. Projects
- Cognitive Adaptation Training (CAT) - CAT is an organized approach that uses what clinicians call “environmental supports.” These are supports that are integrated into the routines and living spaces of people struggling with schizophrenia and other similar mental health challenges.
About the CAMH Mental Health Sciences Library
Open to CAMH physicians, staff and learners, patients & families and the general public, the CAMH Mental Health Sciences Library has an extensive Mental Health and Addiction book collection. Members of the public can register for a free library card and take out up to 3 books at a time. You can visit our online catalogue here to see our collection.

Treatment and Research at CAMH
- Schizophrenia Clinical Research Division: Research focuses on identifying the early signs of schizophrenia spectrum disorders, improving novel therapeutic treatment, bettering management of medication side-effects, enhancing patient recovery, and more. Overall, our program aims to better understand, treat and prevent schizophrenia.
- NAVIGATE is an evidence-based treatment program that focuses on recovery for youth and emerging adults with a first episode of psychosis. The NAVIGATE program coordinates specialty care provided by a multidisciplinary team. NAVIGATE is offered through the Slaight Family Centre for Youth in Transition. See more at Sharing our Knowledge.
