Completion of the Opioid Use Disorder Treatment Course is required.
The course is offered as an opportunity for physicians and nurse practitioners to practice methadone prescribing skills in an environment that imitates real-life situations, without any risk to real patients.
The course provides opportunities to a practice prescribing skills of OAT medications. Four learners are grouped with one facilitator, who is an experienced prescriber, and each simulation session is followed by a debried
The simulation learning comprises cases of patients; each includes simulated appointments in different points of time in their treatment. Each learner will have the opportunity to actively participate in three sessions of simulation and observe six other sessions, followed by debrief. The debriefs of the sessions will be led by facilitators and include trainees, peers and simulators.
