Overview
Welcome to the CAMH training program on Trauma-informed de-escalation education for safety and self-protection (TIDES). The program explores how people work together in situations where someone is in emotional distress, or becoming anxious or agitated, and where there is potential for escalation (or for further escalation).
This course aims to help people prevent such situations and respond safely when they happen. It focuses on being trauma informed in the ways people communicate and respond, which involve a range of behaviours and practices.
