Instructor-Led Training for Leadership Competencies
The program involves workshops facilitated by health care leaders at CAMH, St. Joseph's Healthcare Hamilton, and prominent guest speakers with experience in health system leadership. There are two components: in-person intensive sessions, and longer-term virtual sessions.
The cost of the course is $3,995 per person, which includes meals (and a dinner) for the in-person sessions.

Cost

Participants must cover their travel and accommodation for the in-person sessions.
Facilitators
Dr. Treena Wilkie is an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Toronto, and the Associate Chief Medical Officer at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH). She has been qualified as a specialist in forensic psychiatry by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, and is the Chief of the Forensic Service, in the Complex Care and Recovery Program at CAMH.
Dr. Gary Chaimowitz is a renowned forensic psychiatrist with significant academic and leadership roles. He is the Academic Head of the Forensic Psychiatry Program at St. Joseph’s Healthcare in Hamilton, Professor at McMaster University and Co-Chair in Violence and Risk Reduction. He previously held the role of Head of Service within the Forensic Psychiatry Program which operated 118 beds and other specialized outpatient services, including intensive case management, a Brief Assessment Unit, a Fitness to Stand Trial Clinic, Assessments, and the Sexual Behaviours Clinic.
Dr. Lisa Ramshaw is an Associate Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Toronto. In 2012, she was designated as a Founder in Forensic Psychiatry by the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada in recognition of her role in developing Canada’s first Royal College-accredited forensic psychiatry subspecialty training program. She has been in full-time forensic psychiatry practice at CAMH for over 25 years as both clinician and educator.
Diana Marginean holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from McMaster University and a Master of Science in Anatomical Sciences, with a focus on adult learning principles. She also completed a leadership course designed for healthcare professionals, further enhancing her ability to guide clinicians and teams.
Since 2020, Diana has served as Project Lead – Knowledge Translation Specialist with the Forensic Psychiatry Program at St. Joseph’s Healthcare Hamilton.
