Carmina is a BScN Candidate at Ryerson University. She has spent her career collaborating to re-center community care, voices, and experiences in medical and public health practices.
Carmina is a young director with Girls20, an organization investing in young women leaders. In affiliation with their Girls on Boards program, she is the third student to serve on the CAMH Board of Trustees.
Her prior experience includes roles at research institutions, including the Ontario Institute of Studies in Education and SickKids Hospital. As a science communicator and mindfulness teacher, Carmina has presented talks nationally and internationally on social-emotional learning and holistic health and well-being.
Carmina holds an HBSc from the University of Toronto in human biology and population health. Upon graduation, Carmina won the UTSC Letter Award in recognition of her significant contributions to campus life.
