These guidelines offer recommendations for care issues of those with opioid and alcohol use disorder during the COVID-19 pandemic.

Covid-19 Pandemic – National Rapid Guidance

From: Canadian Research Initiative in Substance Misuse (CRISM)

CRISM has developed a rapid guidance series for health care workers and other service providers. Topics include supporting people who use substances in shelters and in acute care settings during the COVID-19 pandemic, maintaining social distancing, reducing transmission and telemedicine.

COVID-19 opioid agonist treatment guidance

This document (updated August 2021) was created to help guide opioid agonist therapy (OAT) care for patients with opioid use disorder (OUD), and to support ongoing access to OAT care. It addresses office and remote visits, carry doses and frequency of drug testing.
