Dr. Madison Aitken is a scientist in the Cundill Centre for Child and Youth Depression at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) and an assistant professor in the Department of Psychology at York University. She is also a clinical child and adolescent psychologist.
Areas of Research
Dr. Aitken’s research focuses on improving youth mental health outcomes by understanding how evidence-based interventions bring about change, and by testing new interventions targeting factors that predict poor treatment response. She is also interested in innovative approaches to measurement, such as using ambulatory measures like ecological momentary assessment and actigraphy to personalize treatment. Her research is funded by the Canadian Institutes of Health Research, the Social Sciences and Humanities Research Council, and the Cundill Centre for Child and Youth Depression.
