Dr. Jo Henderson is Director of the Margaret and Wallace McCain Centre for Child, Youth & Family Mental Health at CAMH and Executive Director of Youth Wellness Hubs Ontario. They are also Senior Scientist in the Child, Youth and Emerging Adult Program at CAMH, and Professor in the Department of Psychiatry at the University of Toronto.
Areas of Research
Dr. Henderson’s research focuses on improving service delivery and access to care for youth with substance use, mental health or concurrent disorders and their families, through youth and family engagement, collaborative models of service delivery, and knowledge translation and exchange.
Dr. Henderson currently leads multiple federally funded projects that aim to improve the understanding and treatment of youth mental health and substance use concerns through building and supporting integrated approaches to providing services to youth and families. These projects involve cross-sectoral community, health and government partners in communities across Canada and have had substantial impacts on practice and policy nationally.
