In the past two (2) years:
- Did you use crystal meth for the first time?
OR - Did you think about using crystal meth for the first time, but decide not to use?
We are conducting a research study to learn about decisions surrounding the use of crystal meth (i.e., methamphetamine, meth, crystal, Tina, T, ice, speed, glass, crank) for the first time. The information gathered through our study may help guide future community‐ and clinic‐based support services for those who decide to use crystal meth as well as those who may be thinking about using it for the first time.
We are looking for gay, bisexual, queer, and other men‐who‐have‐sex‐with men (MSM), either cis or trans, aged 18+ who reside in Ontario and who either 1) used crystal meth for the first time in the last two years, or 2) thought about using crystal meth for the first time during that timeframe but decided not to use. Participants will complete a confidential interview either remotely (e.g. Zoom/phone) or in‐person to discuss their experiences.
The study involves 1 session. The total time commitment is about 1 hour. You will be financially compensated for your time.
