ECHO Coping with COVID-19 for health care providers

ECHO Coping with COVID aims to promote resilience, provide skills and resources and build a community of practice amongst Canadian health care providers currently supporting the COVID-19 pandemic. It has recently been expanded to be a Canada-wide program.
The global COVID-19 situation has been an unprecedented challenge for me, both personally and professionally. The ECHO Coping with COVID program has proven invaluable for not only building my resiliency, but fostering a sense of communion in knowing that so many other disciplines are going through the same things that I am.

Care for Caregivers Online Webinars

The Care for Caregivers website has regular webinars on the topics of workplace mental health, managing grief and supporting growth, and sleep management during the pandemic. They also have information for staff on coping strategies and stress management.
Ontario Medical Association MD-led virtual chats and confidential support
From: OMA Physician Health Program
The OMA Physician Health Program invites you to drop in virtually support one another during the COVID-19 pandemic. The sessions will be led by Dr. Kasra Khorasani, a psychiatrist at Mount Sinai Health Systems and St. Joseph’s Health Centre.
COVID-19 virtual psychosocial support groups for nurses and allied health professionals

This is a support group for health care professionals working across the GTA during the COVID-19 pandemic to discuss fear, normalize stress reactions, share solidarity and learn about effective coping strategies.
Trained volunteer responders provide confidential emotional support and crisis intervention through the phone to at-risk and vulnerable individuals from across the GTA, 24-hours a day, seven days a week. Available at 416 408-4357 or 416 408-HELP or text 45645.

The toll-free number, 1-866-HELP-DOC (1-866-435-7362), provides residents, their partners and family members, and medical students with immediate assistance in urgent matters as well as guidance to other resources. The service is accessible from anywhere in Ontario, 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
