Thomas Hofmann has 20 years of experience in financial management, organizational strategy, and mergers and acquisitions, primarily with Royal Bank of Canada. In 2007, he left the financial industry to focus on volunteering in the non-profit sector.
In addition to his current role as CAMH Trustee, Thomas served as a Director of WoodGreen Community Services from 2007 to 2016, including 3 years as Board Chair. He continues to volunteer with WoodGreen, as a member of the Quality, Resources and Audit Committee and as a tutor in the after-school program.
In 2012, he co-authored and edited From Strategy to Implementation: An integration toolkit for community-based health service providers. This book on mergers, published for the Toronto Central LHIN, is based on WoodGreen's highly successful integration with Community Care East York. Thomas holds a BSc in biology from Mount Allison University, an MBA in finance from McGill University, as well as the CPA, CGA and ICD.D designations.
