Robert (Bob) Walsh is the National Executive Director for the Strategy for Patient Oriented Research’s Primary and Integrated Health Care Innovation Network. This pan-Canadian research collaborative works at the nexus between policy, practice and research to improve health outcomes through patient engagement.
Bob has 30 years of experience in the addiction and substance abuse fields working in various non-government organizations (including his role in volunteer services early in his career at the Donwood Institute). Bob is the former Executive Director of the Canadian Council for Tobacco Control (CCTC) and the former CEO of Alcohol and Drug Concerns.
Bob has a PhD in Public Health and Health Systems from the University of Waterloo (as well as a Master’s in Public Health). He also holds a MBA from The University of Western Ontario’s Richard Ivey School of Business.
