How do I become a Volunteer at the Centre?

  1. Read through the volunteer Program Descriptions. After selecting the program you would like to apply to, you must complete the online application form here http://volunteer.camh.net/ . Please only apply to one program at a time and wait for a reply from the Coordinator before applying to another program
  2. If you are considered a potential candidate, a Volunteer Coordinator will call you for an interview.
  3. Once interviewed, you will be screened (references checked and Police reference if necessary) and if selected as a potential candidate the Coordinator will schedule you to attend a mandatory training/orientation.
  4. If you complete training successfully you will have to complete a TB test and attend a registration/orientation to go over the volunteer expectations and sign your confidentiality and service agreement

What are the requirements for applying to be a volunteer at the Centre?

  1. You must be 19 years of age or over to apply.
  2. You must be able to make a minimum 1 year commitment.

Howlong will the volunteer application process take? When can I start volunteering?

This depends on what your skills, interests and availability is and whether we have positions available that suit your application. We hold onto applications for 6 months and contact volunteers when and if a suitable position becomes available.
