At your door, on the street or over the phone, our team is out inviting Canadians to join the mental health movement by becoming a Change Agent.
CAMH at Your Door
You may receive a knock at the door from a canvasser inviting you to become a Change Agent for mental health by giving a monthly donation to CAMH. You may also encounter a CAMH Foundation canvasser on the street or at your local shopping centre.
CAMH has partnered with two organizations on this exciting program: Public Outreach and Global Faces. All canvassers are equipped with a mobile device and will be wearing CAMH lanyards and ID badges. They will not request or accept cash donations.
Change Agents on the Phone
We have a dedicated team of callers that help us reach out to our existing supporters for a variety of reasons. Our team is equipped to assist you with whatever request or update you have received a call about, aside from confirmation calls at the time of signup.
Please note that calls from Foundation staff and volunteers will appear as a blocked number in your call display. As these calls originate from within the hospital, the outbound number is automatically blocked to protect patient confidentiality. Anyone calling on CAMH’s behalf will provide you with the Foundation’s phone number on request.

Putting Your Donations To Work
Every donation to CAMH enables us to help tens of thousands of Canadians living with mental illness, including addiction.
Fundraising Direct is a full-service direct-marketing agency based in Montreal. Its team of professionals is dedicated to helping CAMH Foundation raise funds to help stop mental illness from destroying lives. Fundraising Direct may call existing Change Agents supporters to thank them for their support, or ask them to update their payment information, increase their monthly contribution or restart their monthly gift if it has lapsed. They may also contact supporters of other fundraising programs, such as Gifts of Light and One Brave Night, to invite them to join the Change Agents program.
Volunteers and Foundation Staff
We also have a team of full-time staff and dedicated volunteers who reach out to Change Agents supporters from time to time. This team may call existing Change Agents supporters to thank them for their support or ask them to update their payment information.
Calls when signing up at the door
You may also speak with a CAMH representative while signing up for the Change Agents program at the door, or shortly after doing so. These calls are to thank you for signing up, to confirm the canvasser has explained the program to you, and to verify we have recorded your information correctly.
