CAMH Foundation representatives are looking for people to join our Change Agents community of monthly donors. All canvassers are equipped with tablets, and will be wearing CAMH lanyards and ID badges. Please note for security reasons, they cannot accept cash donations.
No, CAMH Foundation canvassers are paid hourly, and do not receive commissions. For this program we have partnered with Public Outreach and Global Faces, highly reputable fundraising organizations that adhere to all industry codes of practice. Door-to-door fundraising is focused on acquiring long-term donors to support the highest priorities of CAMH. You can donate online or mail in your one-time donation any time. We value every donation we receive.
You will receive an accumulative tax receipt for the year in February of the following year i.e. all gifts made in 2017 will be included in the receipt sent in February 2018. Your receipt will be emailed if you have provided an address. If not, you will receive your tax receipt by regular mail.
CAMH Foundation may try to reprocess your monthly gift after your scheduled processing date. To update your payment information please contact CAMH Foundation at 1 800 414-0471 during business hours (Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.), or by email at ChangeAgents@camh.ca.
Under the provisions of Payments Canada’s Rule H1, if a PAD is returned due to insufficient funds, CAMH Foundation may re-attempt to process the payment once, and this must be done within 30 days of the original transaction date for the same amount as the original transaction. CAMH Foundation cannot charge service fees.
Payments Canada’s mandate does not extend to service fees that may be charged by financial institutions, so this is not addressed in Rule H1. You will need to discuss the matter with your financial institution. In accordance with CRA regulations, under no circumstance can CAMH reimburse you for NSF fees charged by your financial institution.
To change your monthly gift amount or payment information, please contact CAMH Foundation at 1 800 414-0471 during business hours (Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.), or by email at ChangeAgents@camh.ca 15 days before the next processing date. To change the bank account for your monthly gift, you can also provide a blank cheque to confirm the new account details. Be sure to write “VOID” on the front of it, and do not sign it. We do mail supporters who have missed a payment or whose payment information is expiring. If you have any concerns about a piece of mail that you receive from CAMH Foundation, please contact us at 1 800 414-0471 during business hours or by email at ChangeAgents@camh.ca.
There is no automatic end date to a monthly gift.
We would be very sorry to lose you as a Change Agent! You can always change your monthly giving amount or put your gifts on hold to make supporting CAMH more manageable for you. To change or cancel your monthly gift, contact CAMH Foundation at 1 800 414-0471 during business hours (Monday to Friday, 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.), or by email at ChangeAgents@camh.ca 15 days before your next scheduled processing date. Failing to do so may cause a donation to be processed against your original account. Please provide all relevant information in your request (full name, mailing address, phone number and gift amount) so we can identify your record in our database.
Please notify us by calling 1 800 414-0471 if any withdrawal from your account is not in accordance with the terms of your agreement, or processed after you have cancelled the agreement.
