Leadership Fund

Training opportunities are one important means by which women can be supported in breaking down these gender gaps. womenmind is committed to being part of the solution by funding leadership training for women. The womenmind Leadership Fund provides support for women researchers to bolster the professional development of CAMH-appointed scientists, with a focus on building core competencies, leadership training, development and career advancement.

womenmind Mentorship Program

In 2021, CAMH Research launched the womenmind Mentorship Program. This is a new, innovative program for CAMH-appointed early-, mid- and senior-career women scientists. The mentorship program is built on a hub model of mentorship, providing opportunities for women scientists to benefit from the combined experience of their peers through mutual mentorship and networking, and exposure to diverse perspectives around career and leadership development. The hubs provide different forms of mentorship to address the unique experiences and questions faced by women in science. Program evaluation is underway to improve impact and sustainability.

Benefits of the womenmind Mentorship Program:

• Access to diverse mentors: Over 40% of women scientists at CAMH are participating in the mentorship program (2022)
• Continuous learning opportunities: Quarterly learning events with career coaches and industry experts, both internal and external to CAMH, to support career progression at every career stage.
• Annual renewal to program: Commitment is for 12 months in the program, with the opportunity to renew annually.
