On Wednesday, May 26, 2010 the CAMH Foundation’s Transforming Lives Awards are being held, for the first time in the event's 16 years, at 1001 Queen Street West, bringing the celebration home to CAMH. This vital
fundraising event is designed to raise awareness by honoring extraordinary people who have overcome the challenges of living
with mental illness and addiction and who now serve as an inspiration to others. Read about this year's recipients.
The 900 guests attending the Transforming Lives Awards will be hosted in a giant tent which will be installed in the Shaw Street parking lot. The construction and removal of the tent will occur over a period of nine days beginning on May 22 and ending on May 30,
2010.
In order to prepare for the event, the SHAW STREET PARKING LOT WILL BE CLOSED as of 3:00 am on Saturday, May 22, 2010 and will reopen at 3 pm on Sunday, May 30, 2010. This closure will remove all parking spots in the Shaw Street parking area (southeast corner of 1001 Queen Street);
the remaining parking spots at 1001 Queen Street West will not be affected.
We apologize for the inconvenience this will cause you and we thank you all in advance for your patience and understanding
and we extend our heartfelt appreciation for your support which will contribute greatly to the success of the Transforming Lives Awards.
