In a previous study, we found brain inflammation in depression and obsessive compulsive disorder. Sometimes the brain cells that cause inflammation can alter the density of connections between brain cells. In this study, we will use brain scans to measure the connections between brain cells, as well as inflammation, and we will look at the relationship between these measures. Effective medications for OCD are rare, so we are looking to discover new potential molecular targets for treatment.
