Dr. Andreazza is an Independent Scientist with the Anxiety and Mood Disorders Department at CAMH.
She is a Professor with the Departments of Psychiatry and Pharmacology at the University of Toronto.
Areas of ResearchDr. Andreazza
started her training as a pharmacist and moved to neuroscience in order to investigate
the involvement of redox modulation of protein and DNA in psychiatric illness.
Her main research objective is to understand how redox modulation is involved
with illness progression and how to prevent such alterations through the
development of new pharmacological strategies. Dr. Andreazza is currently
exploring how modification in calcium channel induces redox modification to
proteins and its impact in synapse modulation.
