CAMH named one of Toronto's Top Employers for 2013

November 21, 2012 (Toronto) - The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) has been selected as one of Toronto's Top Employers for the fifth year in a row.  The hospital has approximately 3,000 staff members in total.

“We are extremely proud to be named one of Greater Toronto’s Top Employers for 2013,” said CAMH Vice President of Human Resources, Kim Bellissimo. “This award is a testament to the organization’s commitment to our employees’ professional development and our commitment to building an inclusive environment and positive workplace culture.”

The top employer honour comes on the heels of CAMH earning the Quality Healthcare Workplace Award- Gold in October, having received the Silver level last year. That award, presented by the Ontario Hospital Association and the Ministry of Health and Long-Term Care, recognizes CAMH’s commitment to creating a healthy workplace where staff deliver excellent, client-centred care.

The Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH) is Canada's largest mental health and addiction teaching hospital, as well as one of the world's leading research centres in its field. CAMH combines clinical care, research, education, policy development and health promotion to help transform the lives of people affected by mental health and addiction issues.
