Last month Dr. Catherine Zahn, CAMH President and CEO, joined other Canadian innovators at the Technology, Entertainment, Design (TEDx) Conference to share her ideas about the future of mental health and addictions.
Drawing from her personal experiences, she spoke about the power to end the discrimination that people with mental illness and addictions face everyday. In order to make this change, she urged the audience to do thee things:
Discover the truth, Discuss it openly and Demand attention to this critical issue.
Her call to action was heard and spread quickly. Within an hour of her presentation, Dr. Zahn was one of the top national trending topics on the social networking site, Twitter.
