Problem Gambling Program (PGS and PGP)

Provides in-person and/or phone counselling for people with gambling problems and other behavioural addictions, and for their families, through group, couple, family and individual work. Family members are encouraged to access  services with or without the involvement of the person with the gambling or behavioural addiction. Consultation and collaboration is available with regard to gambling issues in complex clients. Staff specialities include work with youth, women, older adults, families and ethno-cultural populations. Languages available: English, French, Farsi, Finnish, Greek, Urdu, and through partnerships with community agencies, referrals to problem gambling services in many other languages. Research and outreach initiatives are important components of the service. Educational sessions are available for community and professional groups.

The Problem Gambling Project

The Problem Gambling Project is the professional awareness and educational component of Ontario's government funded problem gambling strategy. This program provides training and informational resources to Ontario's designated problem gambling treatment services. The Project also collaborates with allied professional systems on the development and dissemination of customized materials, tools and training events that support their efforts to be of assistance to people affected by problem gambling.
