The transformation of CAMH’s historic 27-acre Queen Street West site began in 2002 with the launch of the CAMH Master Plan, which outlined a bold vision. It challenged us to develop new approaches to treatment, research and education and integrate them with innovative new building designs that connected with the surrounding community to promote recovery and shift societal attitudes towards mental health.

To guide us through this transformation process, CAMH has created, implemented, evaluated and revised a number of foundational documents and reports that provide us with a blueprint as well as important check points to help drive us towards our goal.
