The Temerty Centre for Therapeutic Brain Intervention is one of the world's leading centres in treatment, research and training related to brain stimulation therapies, located at the Centre for Addiction and Mental Health (CAMH).
The Temerty Centre provides established and new and innovative brain stimulation treatments for people with brain-related illnesses including depression, schizophrenia, bipolar disorder, post-traumatic stress disorder, obsessive-compulsive disorder and Alzheimer's disease.
The Centre has a highly-skilled and caring team, and state-of-the-art facilities that include the following types of brain stimulation: Repetitive Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (rTMS), Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT), and Magnetic Seizure Therapy (MST).
The TMS program is primarily a research laboratory. Patients need a doctor's referral to the Temerty Centre and will be screened to determine eligibility for participation in any of the current clinical trials and/or neurophysiological studies.
