YouthCan IMPACT is a collaborative initiative of youth,
families, community agencies, primary care partners and hospitals in Toronto,
who work together to improve the youth mental health and addiction
system.Through community-based hubs, YouthCan IMPACT is providing young
people with the services they need right where they need it – in the community.

National Youth Screening Project
Funded under Health Canada’s Drug Treatment Funding Program,
the National Youth Screening Project was created to enhance evidence-based
practices in the treatment of youth substance use in Canada through
collaborative work involving decision-makers, service providers and other

Youth Services System Review Project
Led by Gloria Chaim, Dr. Joanna Henderson, and Dr. E.B. Brownlie;
this project completed a review of the continuum of addictions services
available to youth (12 to 24) in Ontario, identifying gaps and opportunities
for collaboration and enhancement. The team created resources that
include information for service providers on developmentally informed service
provision and program design with a focus on the needs of transition-age
youth/emerging adults; and pilot and evaluate the materials and share them
