l.ross@utoronto.caDr. Lori Ross is a Scientist with the Health Systems & Health Equity Research Group in the Social & Epidemiological Research Department. She is also Associate Professor in the Department of Psychiatry, Dalla Lana School of Public Health, and Lawrence S. Bloomberg Faculty of Nursing at the University of Toronto.
Areas of ResearchDr. Ross uses a combination of quantitative, qualitative, and community-based approaches in her research work. She is primarily interested in the mental health and service needs of marginalized populations including lesbian, gay, bisexual, and trans (LGBT) people and people with lived experience of mental health and/or substance use issues. She partners with a number of community agencies and organizations in this work, including Rainbow Health Ontario and CAMH’s Empowerment Council. See
