CAMH’s Therapeutic Brain Intervention Service offers brain stimulation treatments to patients with severe and/or treatment-resistant psychiatric illnesses, primarily Depression and Obsessive Compulsive Disorder (OCD).
Located in our newly-opened Temerty Centre for Therapeutic Brain Intervention, the treatments offered include Transcranial Direct Current Stimulation (TDCS), Transcranial Magnetic Stimulation (TMS), Magnetic Seizure Therapy (MST), and Electroconvulsive Therapy (ECT). Research is a major component of the Therapeutic Brain Intervention Service. Currently MST and most TMS treatments are available within the context of a clinical research study.
