The purpose of CAMH’s social media channels is to raise
awareness of, and engagement with, the work of CAMH and the issues of mental
illness and addiction amongst a broad range of stakeholders. Our goal is to
build a movement for social change.
CAMH’s social media accounts are considered organizational
accounts, and not individual accounts. They are staffed by the communications
team in each area (CAMH Public Affairs, CAMH Education, CAMH Research, etc),
and checked during regular office hours.
CAMH social media accounts are not staffed by clinicians.
CAMH is not able to provide clinical information or advice over social media,
or crisis services of any kind.
CAMH communications staff will endeavor to answer genuine
inquiries over social media in a timely fashion where possible and appropriate.
