About the Campaign

Over the coming weeks, you may have seen a brand new awareness campaign for CAMH. This campaign stays true to the promise we made in our new Strategic Plan to "Drive social change" by building awareness of the importance of mental health, and publicizing the work of CAMH.

The campaign recognizes the challenge faced by many people experiencing a mental illness -- the tendency for others around them to dismiss it. Research indicates that as many as two thirds of people with a mental health problem do not get the help they need.

Featuring a provocative series of dismissive phrases that we've all heard (or said) at one time or another, the campaign turns them around to challenge people to re-evaluate their own outlook on mental illness, and give them a better understanding of who CAMH is and what we do.

You can view elements of the campaign by clicking here.
