TORONTO, November 25, 2016 - On Thursday evening CAMH’s President and CEO, Dr. Catherine Zahn, received the Bryden Award for Outstanding Achievement from York University. Dr. Zahn completed her BSc at York University before completing her MD and MSc in Health Administration from the University of Toronto.
The award for Outstanding Achievement is granted to a York graduate who has achieved distinction in their field, and whose integrity and ability inspire alumni, faculty and staff.

In her remarks, Dr. Zahn reflected on how the diversity of her experiences and encounters at York University – her first destination after having arrived from the United States – contributed to her feeling of belonging in Canada and laid the foundation for her future privilege of leading CAMH, Canada’s largest hospital specializing in mental illness.
