(L to R) Running Free co-founder Charlotte Davis, Mood and Anxiety Disorders Clinic department secretary Natasha Williams and CAMH client Caroline Walker.
There are numerous studies showing the benefits of exercise on mental health, and running is no exception.
Every Wednesday at 5:45 p.m., the Running Free run group leaves from the Bell Gateway building lobby to put intention into action. The group is open to everyone: CAMH clients, employees and members of the community. People of all running levels are welcome.
Charlotte Davis is a co-founder of Running Free. Caroline Walker is a CAMH client and a regular participant with the group.
CAMH Public Affairs communications co-ordinator Joan Chang joined the group for a run -- and a chat -- about why they love doing what they do, and the difference it’s made in their lives.
LISTEN TO THE AUDIO of their interviews and run around Trinity-Bellwoods Park.
