CAMH Video: Suicide in Canada

World Suicide Prevention Day is marked around the globe in September to promote and expand international awareness of the problem of suicide and the need to increase suicide prevention efforts.

At CAMH, suicide prevention is an essential part of our work. The 2011-2012 CAMH Research Report includes a focus on suicide research, and highlights knowledge contributed by the Clinical, Social and Epidemiological, and Neuroscience Research Departments to this complex area.

This CAMH video illustrates the prevalence and impact of this preventable cause of death, here at home.
