Vote Once, vote twice, vote every day!
After much anticipation, this year’s CAMH Engage
Breakthrough Challenge videos are now live on the CAMH Engage Breakthrough
This year’s Breakthrough Challenge features four of CAMH’s most promising
young researchers: Dr. Stephanie Ameis, Dr. Allison Crawford, Dr. George
Foussias and Dr. Arun Tiwari. Each researcher has something unique to offer that
is bound to resonate with the CAMH community.
Dr. Ameis’ research investigates alternative treatments for young adults with
autism that show promise in improving executive function. Dr. Crawford is
working with Northern communities to increase access to equitable and effective
mental health care. Dr. Foussias is using virtual reality to develop a
diagnostic and personalized treatment tool for patients with schizophrenia. Dr.
Tiwari is working to reduce side-effects for patients with schizophrenia through
a personalized approach to medication.
Your votes will help determine who will win this year’s first-prize grant
of $10,000 toward their research project – generously supported by Jim and Sandi
Treliving. Watch the videos of the researches explaining their work and then
vote for the project that speaks to you the most.
You can vote once per day until the polls close at 5 p.m. on October 30.
Votes will be tallied and the two finalists will debate face-to-face in an
exciting finish live at our event.
This year’s finale will be held on November 5 at Second Floor Events, 461
King Street West.
