CAMH provides centralized information,
intake and scheduling for most services at the hospital, serving patients,
family members, physicians, community health providers, and other stakeholders.
Access CAMH for:
- mental health and addictions information
- eligibility requirements and instructions on
making a referral to CAMH
- to refer yourself for addictions services. Most patients looking for help
with drugs, alcohol or other addictions will be scheduled for their first
appointment in one call.
Call Access CAMH at (416) 535-8501 and select option 2.
We have interpreters available to assist callers to communicating in
their language of choice.
Phone lines are typically answered live Monday through Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. We are closed on
weekends and statutory holidays.
Please note that we do not
provide crisis counselling over the phone. In the event of an emergency,
please visit the nearest Emergency Department or call 911.
How to Access Services at CAMH
For most addictions services, patients can
self-refer by calling Access CAMH at (416)
535-8501 (select option 2). Family members and friends may also contact
this number if they are concerned about a loved one’s mental health or

CAMH services require a referral from a physician or nurse practitioner. Please visit www.camh.ca/referralform for the CAMH referral form and instructions. Clearly
indicating the reason for your referral – and attaching any relevant materials
as listed in the instructions – will help Access CAMH process your request.
