Please note: Due to licensing and copyright restrictions, some AV materials can only be loaned to CAMH staff members.
To find an AV title located in the CAMH Library's AV collection simply visit the CAMH Library catalogue. In the Library catalogue, a special page has been set up to help you locate AV titles. You can get there by simply clicking the “AV Collection” button located across the top of the screen (see image below, with the button circled in red).
You will be able to search the AV collection by:
- Title – enter keywords you believe are in the title.
- Synopsis – description
- Subject
- Cast - search last name of CAMH staff person, or famous Doctor)
- Audience – select audience types such as Adults, Health Care Professionals, or Treatment Populations.
- Restriction – select restrictions such as CAMH Staff and Professional Institution Loans Only.
Search Tip: For Title, Synopsis, Subject and Cast search fields, simply enter the first few letters of your search term, followed by an asterisk. For example, if you enter “opi*” in the Title field, you will retrieve videos with the word “opium” and “opioid” in the title.
After completing at least one of the search fields listed above, click the “Search” button/link. The results will show the title of the video, video number, and year.
To get more information about a title, simply click the Title, Call Number, and Year links for one of the items.
When you click a link for an item, you will find information such as the Title, Call Number, Subject, Target Audience, Material Type, Showing Time, Synopsis, and Restriction if applied.
