Dr. Clement Hamani is a Scientist with the Research Imaging Centre in the Campbell Family Mental Health Research Institute at CAMH. He is also an Assistant Professor of Neurosurgery at the University of Toronto and a Neurosurgeon at Toronto Western Hospital.
Areas of Research
Dr. Hamani’s main research interests involve the neurosurgical treatment of movement disorders, epilepsy, pain and psychiatric disorders. The primary focus of his research at CAMH involves the use of neuromodulation interventions, particularly deep brain stimulation, to treat psychiatric-like symptoms in preclinical models.
