Mobile Research Lab

CAMH's mobile research laboratory is a custom-built 34-foot trailer that allows CAMH scientists to conduct multidisciplinary research in diverse communities across the province, including rural, remote, and underserved regions.

The lab is divided into three main rooms:

- a spacious room for focus group interviews
- a smaller room for private one-on-one interviews
- a "wet lab" with equipment for the collection, storage, and processing of biological materials

The mobile laboratory is outfitted with a dedicated server and multiple laptops positioned at private workstations, where participants are able to complete computerized questionnaires and research staff can access the internet and perform data entry and analysis. The lab is equipped with a LCD projector and a wall-mounted 42" high-definition flat screen monitor for presentations, training, and videoconferencing. A hydraulic wheelchair lift renders the lab a highly accessible research site.
